Mother's Day - it is blooming in Boston

I've been blogger-negligent.  Honestly, my art enrichment business, DragonWing Arts, has hit a lull.  Conflicts with sports totally blotted out my spring classes.  Therefore, I just haven't had good artsy education stuff to post.  So this post isn't about art; instead it's about a lovely Mother's Day weekend in Boston.  But starting with my next post, I'm going to bring back some oldies but goodies, favorite art lesson posts that perhaps you've never seen!

My son lives in Boston.  My husband and I drove to spend a lovely weekend with him, which included a day shopping at the outlets so he could get new clothes for work without having to rent a car to go shopping, dinner with my brother and his wife at a fun tapas restaurant, and then a day in the glorious sunshine, starting with brunch at a French cafe, then walking the Esplanade, which is a lovely park alongside the Charles River, strolling through Quincy Market, and finally walking to the North End and a yummy dinner.  I think we pretty much followed most of the Freedom Trail in our walk.  So here's some photos of the lovely day.
Above, obviously that's me and my son, and to the right is the Old North Church.  We arrived there exactly three minutes before closing.  Oh well...

On our drive home through Massachusetts and Vermont, my husband and I made a pit stop to do a little shopping at Bennington Potters.  Here's a couple of views of the cute moose and cow that decorate the outside of the building.
